A well-tuned in Cavs reporter published an explosive piece that goes into further detail regarding the January meeting where players met and reportedly were at odds over Kevin Love’s illness. The Athletic’s Jason Lloyd is reporting that LeBron James had a shouting match with the Cavs’ front office. James told the Athletic that he “couldn’t remember everything that was said.”

Lloyd goes on to say that James does not trust anyone in the Cavs’ front office and that he was not consulted on the Kyrie Irving trade to Boston. They facilitated the trade entirely without James’ knowledge. As the narrative goes on, James reportedly has no relationship with Dan Gilbert or their new GM, Koby Altman. The relationship status between James and Altman is surprising and crucial given how highly James spoke of former GM, David Griffin.

Early in the week, James had said he “would never” waive his no-trade clause. Expect this trade deadline to be a busy one for everyone.
