Week 14 Waiver Wire Pick-Ups

Jimmy Garoppolo

Garoppolo didn’t add a TD to his stat-line, however he went 26 for 37 with 297 Yards and 1 INT in Sunday’s Contest. Consider Garoppolo a decent streamer option for fantasy owners for Week 14 as San Fran squares off against one of the most rewarding Fantasy Football Defenses in 2017. The Texans ranks as the 2nd Worst Pass Defense in the NFL, allowing 19.1 PPG to opposing Fantasy QBs.

Jameis Winston

Winston is a name that could possibly be hanging around your waiver wire due to his injury designation throughout the season. In his return from injury, Winston posted 270 Yards and 2 TDs vs. GB. TB will host Detroit in Week 14, which should be a troubling matchup for the turnover prone QB. The Lions rank on the “top end” of the middle-of-the-road teams against opposing QBs, allowing 16.4 FPPG. This is a tougher one, so be careful here – We’re not crazy about it!

Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers Week 15 availability is completely up in the air, but I would rather be safe than sorry. If available, snag him and stash him on your bench until we get further notice. His progression and recovery from injury has gone without a hitch, so there is a strong possibility that he suits up next week.

Giovani Bernard

Joe Mixon was knocked from Monday Night’s injury-riddled football game with a concussion. The timetable for these occurrences is usually 1-2 Games. Consider Bernard a strong pickup heading into the fantasy playoffs. In Mixon’s absence, Bernard totaled 96 totaled yards and will continue his all-purpose back attack on opposing defenses. In Week 14, Bernard and the Bengals will face the Bears who have been an underrated defense in 2017, but rank middle-of-the-road against opposing RBs on a  fantasy perspective.

Mike Davis

Seattle once again finds solid footing at the Running Back position “Post Chris Carson” as Mike Davis has a stronghold on this position. On Sunday, Davis played 73% of the Snaps and posted 101 Total Yards. The Week 14 matchup is challenging against JAX, however Davis should be a solid RB2 for the contest.

Josh Gordon

And just like that … Gordon is back in business! Not only did he produce 85 Yards on 4 Receptions, but he was peppered with 11 Targets. The Browns play a lighter Green Bay Defense in Week 14, which makes Gordon even more appealing as a WR2 this Sunday. Duke Johnson was basically invisible this weekend and we expect his production to slide right into Josh Gordon’s stat-line from here on out.

Jermaine Kearse

Kearse went off Sunday, totaling 9 of 10 Targets for 157 Yards! Kearse now has back-to-back +100 Yard Games for fantasy owners, but expect Week 14 to be a tougher one against the Denver Broncos. For the first round of the playoffs, I would let this one slide.

Marquise Goodwin

Consider Goodwin one of our favorite streamer starts for Week 14 against a defense (Houston) that has gotten shredded by opposing WRs. If you need big play ability for Week 14, we feel that this is your guy. To make you feel just a little more comfortable, Goodwin went 8 Receptions on 8 Targets for 99 Yards in Garoppolo’s first start as a 49er with an even better matchup coming his way this weekend.

Cincinnati Defense

Cincinnati will host the Chicago Bears in Week 14.

Green Bay Defense

Will play at Cleveland in Week 14. This is a tricky matchup with Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman back in the picture, but still in the start em’ category.
