Week 5 Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em

winston

START

Jameis Winston

The matchup and timing can’t be any better for Winston as he gets the Patriots on minimal rest traveling to Tampba Bay. All QBs (Smith, Brees, Watson, Newton)  have scored 20+ Fantasy Points against the Patriots this season and Winston has been lights out the past 2 games. In fact, Winston shredded a tough Giants Pass Defense last week throwing for 332 yards and 3 TDs.

DeVante Parker

Parker’s been sneaky productive this season as he’s on pace for 1,300 receiving yards. Parker will likely face up against CB Adoree Jackson who’s given up the 8th most Fantasy Points to opposing WRs this season. This should be a breakout game for Miami WRs (including Kenny Stills) against this weak Titans Pass Defense.

Bilal Powell

Since Powell has replaced Forte (dating back to last season) he’s averaged almost 19 Fantasy Points! Yes, McGuire will be mixing in with him, but Powell played 46 snaps to McGuire’s 19 last week. And yes, Powell’s up against a tough Cleveland Browns Run Defense, but I’m keeping him in every lineup this week! #HotHand

DeSean Jackson

*Read Winston, above. After a disappointing Week 4 matchup against the G-Men, Boom-or-Bust Jackson should “Boom” against the underwhelming Patriots Pass Defense. Look for Winston to take multiple shots downfield tonight.

Dez Bryant

An obvious start every week, but you’d be surprised with some of the Twitter questions we get out there. Finally, a favorable home matchup for Dez against Packers rookie CB Kevin King.

Adam Thielen

Thielen hasn’t scored yet this season, but the Bears will give him more opportunity than anyone to accomplish that as they’ve allowed 6 TDs to opposing WRs this season. With Dalvin Cook out, the Vikings will be forced to pass regardless of who their QB is.

Sleeper Starts

Hunter Henry

Henry’s inconsistent production this season is extremely frustrating! The Giants have given up 5 Touchdowns to Tight Ends this season (one in every game) and are allowing the most Fantasy Points to opposing Tight Ends. TE’s vs the Giants are averaging 7 catches for 77 yards and 1 TD per game!

Austin Seferian-Jenkins

The Browns has allowed the TE1, TE2 and TE10 this season. Jesse James, Ben Watson and Tyler Kroft all scored 9+ Fantasy points against the Browns this season; Kroft and James both scored 2 TDs in their outings. The Browns have been extremely vulnerable to TE’s, giving up the 2nd most Fantasy Points to the position. Since ASJ has returned to action he’s seen 10 Targets for 77 yards. Consider ASJ a sleeper Top 10 TE this week!

Randall Cobb (If Davante Adams is Out)

Cobb has been known to dominate the Cowboys. Over the past 2 years, Cobb has faced Dallas 3 times, where he’s averaging 7/65/0.3. Dallas has allowed opposing WRs to score 5 TDs on the season!

SIT

Doug Martin

It’s strictly an unknown as to how much playing time Martin gets tonight against the Pats, especially due to a short week of practice. At best, he’ll split time with Jacquizz Rodgers. Be patient on Martin.

Alshon Jeffery

Alshon Jeffery vs Patrick Peterson.
Previous WRs against Peterson this season:
Marvin Jones: 2/37/1
T.Y. Hilton: 4/49/0
Dez Bryant: 2/12/1
Pierre Garcon: 4/36/0

Kyle Rudolph

It’s obvious that Rudolph misses Bradford. Rudolph has totaled just 83 yards on 12 Targets since Bradford’s injury (3 Weeks). Keep avoiding Rudolph until Bradford returns.

Bonus Tip of the Week:

The Colts and Browns are giving up the most Fantasy Points to opposing Kickers.
The Saints and Rams are giving up the least amount of Fantasy Points to opposing Kickers.
