Patrick Beverly (HOU) $5,300 vs. MEM
Patrick Beverly is averaging nearly 25 fantasy points against the Grizzlies, but at this value and the projected output, this is in line with a quality pick. Even with one of the best defenses in the league, this Rockets/Grizzlies matchup is projected at 221 total points. Beverly can light up the defensive end and the 3-point line.
C.J. McCollum (POR) $7,500 vs. BKN
The Brooklyn Nets have been the 2nd worst teams in defending shooting guards in the past five games. C.J. McCollum fits the bill for a huge game. He has seen 30+ minutes in his last four games and that has yielded 20.5 points, 3.25 assists and 3.25 rebounds per game. With a -11 point line, this game should be close enough where he plays meaningful minutes throughout the whole game.
Maurice Harkless (POR) $5,200 vs. BKN
Much like Patrick Beverly, Maurice Harkless gets a lot of his production from his scrappy play. He is seeing 36 minutes his last four games on average and is producing five fantasy points over his season average. In addition, Evan Turner is still out tonight, so that will spell more opportunities for Harkless.
James Johnson (MIA) $5,600 vs. CLE
The Cavaliers have been the 7th worst team in defending power forwards and James Johnson is cheap enough to warrant a spot tonight. Historically, the Cavaliers have struggled playing in Miami ever since LeBron James’ return. Johnson has an excellent chance to go off on a team that is on the second half of a back-to-back on the road.
Nikola Jokic (DEN) $9,500 vs. CHA
Denver is playing against a depleted Hornets front line. Everyone and their brother are going to have Jokic in their lineup tonight. You should too.
Tony Allen (MEM) $4,800 vs. HOU
More than likely, Tony Allen will be guarding James Harden all night. In three games against the Grizzlies, Harden turned the ball over an average of 7.3 times per game and Tony Allen stole the ball six times (NBA.com). He will get his rebounds and a block or two tonight.
Blake Griffin (LAC) $9,000 vs. CHI
Blake is playing insane right now. He just missed a triple-double earlier this week and faces a Taj Gibson-less Bulls team that now features second-year man Bobby Portis. Blake Griffin and the Clippers should have a tough game in Chicago tonight, but the Griffin should have no problem against the team. For what it’s worth Nikola Jokic triple-doubled earlier this week against the Bulls.
Shabazz Muhammad (MIN) $3,100 vs. SAS
Shabazz Muhammad is a pure plug-and-hope play tonight. With only $3,100 left to spare, Muhammad is a pure scorer that should yield good value against a Spurs team that is on the second half of a back-to-back.
