DraftKings NBA Recommendations for Jan. 7th

Point Guard

Dennis Schroder (ATL) $6,500 vs. Dallas

Dennis Schroder has five straight games of 30+ DraftKings fantasy points. He faces a Dallas team that is giving up the 7th most fantasy points to point guards, according to Rotowire.com. With Kyle Korver gone, more shots could open up for Schroder, now.

Shooting Guard

Jimmy Butler (CHI) $8,900 vs. Toronto

Jimmy Buckets has been going OFF his past five games. He is averaging 57.10 fantasy points in that span. The Raptors are among one of the worst in defending the shooting guard position. He might be asked upon to do more ball handling duties if Rajon Rondo continues to ride the bench and Dwyane Wade might sit out tonight.

Small Forward

Tobias Harris (DET) $6,200 vs. Portland

It doesn’t matter if Tobias Harris is starting or coming off the bench, he still is a solid contributor to fantasy teams. This game has a 214.5 projected point total and Harris will have a big reason for this. Even coming off the bench, he had the 2nd most shot attempts on the team in December behind Reggie Jackson.

Power Forward

Taj Gibson (CHI) $4,900 vs. Toronto

While he might be auditioning for a trade, Taj Gibson has been a steady player for the Bulls. He is a rebounding machine and will block a shot or two a night. He doesn’t rely on scoring, which bodes well for his DraftKings outlook.

Myles Turner (IND) $7,200 vs. New York

Myles Turner is an excellent pick tonight after the Knicks played a long game last night at Milwaukee. Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis might sit out for rest purposes. Turner hasn’t missed a shot from the arc in three games and has recorded a double-double in two of his past three games. He has an excellent chance at extending that streak tonight.

Jeff Teague (IND) $7,700 vs. New York

The same can be said for Jeff Teague tonight. The Knicks are old and will probably be a step slower than the Pacers tonight.

Kelly Olynyk (BOS) $3,400 vs. New Orleans

Kelly Olynyk should play more with Tyler Zeller ruled out. He has back-to-back 20+ DraftKings points against the Jazz and the 76ers. The Pelicans’ centers rank towards the bottom of the league, so there is upside here.

Michael Carter-Williams (CHI) $5,000 vs. Toronto

MCW has gone from the bottom of barrel value up to his current $5,000 in just one week. He has recorded 20+ DraftKings points in three games during that span. As long as Rajon Rondo is in the dog house, MCW should have no problem helping your team tonight.
