Fantasy Football Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em – Week 10

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers

Start ‘Em:

Philip Rivers – Rivers is averaging a little under 26 points per game in his 3 home games this season. With Rivers playing exceptionally well at home and taking on Denver in this Week 10 matchup, we’re saying stick with Rivers and expect a shootout in San Diego.

Keenan Allen – Allen has averaged 99 yards on about 9 Targets per game the past 5 weeks. We’re starting Allen this week in what should be a shootout at home against the Denver Broncos. Keep in mind Denver is ranked 28th against the pass, including giving up 15 passing TD’s the past 8 games.

Zac Stacy – Stacy is averaging about 105 rushing yards per game in his last 3 matchups (CAR, SEA, TEN). To add to this, he caught 6 passes for 51 yards last week against Tennessee – which makes 56 fantasy points in his last 3 games. Taking on an Indianapolis Colts Defense who has been generous to the run game makes Zac Stacy a must start in Week 10, especially in PPR Leagues.

Tim Wright – The Dolphins have allowed 6 TD’s to Tight Ends so far this season. Wright is coming off consecutive TD weeks and has played like a low end TE1 since been given an increased role in TB. Wright is considered a must add as a Bye Week Replacement and should be owned in all leagues.

Sit ‘Em:

Ray Rice – Since going down with a hip injury, Rice hasn’t been himself.  Since returning from his Week 3 injury, Rice has only managed to rush for an average of 37 yards per game in that 5 week span. This is worrisome as his hip injury may be a lingering issue. With Bengals Defensive Lineman Geno Atkins out for the year, Rice’s matchup should be a no-brainer. However, we’re staying away from Ray Rice until he proves he should be in starting lineups.

Harry Douglas – In Week 7 the Legion of Boom held Fitzgerald to 17 yards while catching 2 balls on 5 Targets. In Week 9 The Legion of Boom held Vincent Jackson to 11 yards while catching 2 balls on 4 Targets. This stat should provide all you need to confirm why you shouldn’t start Douglas against Seattle this week.

Mike Wallace – Wallace is expected to be shadowed by Top CB Darrell Revis in this Week 10 Monday Night Football matchup. Because of this, we’re viewing Wallace, whose averaged 66 receiving yards and about 4 receptions the past 3 games, as a WR3.

Week 10 Sleepers:
Emmanuel Sanders – His past 3 of 4 games he’s had games with 70, 88 and 98 yards receiving. He has another opportunity to repeat this success against a weak BUF secondary.

Shonn Greene – He scored in his first game back from injury and takes on a weak JAX run game. With this favorable matchup, look for TEN to run the ball all over JAX. That means TD’s could come for Greene.

Andre Brown – What can Brown do for you? He returns this week from the IR. Peyton Hillis is expected to be the starter, but don’t count out Andre Brown and his ability to score. The Giants are going to thrown Brown out there.

Andy Dalton – Last week Jason C ampbell threw for 262 and 3 TD’s against BAL. Andy Dalton should do fine in this big division game against BAL.

Brian Hartline – With Mike Wallace expected to be shadowed by Top CB Darrell Revis, expect Brian Hartline to receive a good amount of Targets in this Week 10 Matchup.

Haha – nice problem to have! Gore is a stable option. Ellington will do great today as well. Like both.

Probably Gore though to be safe.

yep…nothing locked up in my pool, so safe is better. Esp. since I have to roll Kaep. That’s risky enough for me. 😉

please see my reply below..that’s a bigger concern at the moment. :)

would you drop Harry Douglas for either Vereen or Burleson? Or roll the dice that Roddy can’t stay healthy? .5 ppr. any of the 3 more likely a stash or situational week streamer bench flex players. thx.

HDouglas has been solid. Wouldn’t recommend dropping him, but do recommend you grabbing Vereen somehow. If nothing else so other owners don’t nab him.

Only person I’d dare give up is Dennis Johnson. Thoughts? Here’s my league/team info:

    12 Team Standard .5 PPR league: QB, 1RB, 2WRs, TE, 2 R/W/T Flex.

6-3 but highest PF in league by 83 pts. (2nd place)

    QB: Kaepernick, Keenum
RBs: Forte, Gore, Ellington, D. Johnson
WRs: Megatron, A. Brown, K. Allen, H. Douglas
    TE: T. Gonzalez, J. Reed
    K: Vinatieri
    DEF: SF, TN

Like it. QB worries me, but other than that – very strong. Trade value isn’t too demanding yet for D Johnson.

Would you recommend picking up M. Crabtree to stash him? 10 team PPR league.

Can’t hurt if you have the room, but wouldn’t expect him to set the world on fire.

Trade A. Morris for L. Bell and Cruz?

    .33 PPR Scoring System
    Lineup is:
    QB Newton
    RBs: Charles, Lacy, Morris
WRs, Fitz, S. Smith, A. Jeffrey, Roddy
    TE: Reed
    D: Chiefs

You would still have solid options at RB, but I always worry only running w 2 RBs. That being said, you need to address WR. Out of your WRs, you have decent options in Jeffrey and Fitz, but nothing to put you over the top. All in all, solid squad. Rowdy Roddy White should see more targets now that his health is back on track.

Who would be the best player to start in my flex out of these players?

Percy Harvin, Shane Vereen, Keenan Allen, or Steven Jackson?

Keenan Allen, he is the safest. Harvin will be on a snap count and Vereen will split with Ridley.

ppr, need to start two of the three between CJ1K, jordy, and morris. Starting ty, welker, and bernard so far.

CJ?K and Morris. CJ?K’s been involved in the passing game a lot and has a favorable matchup against the Colts, who rank 25th in the NFL against the run. I feel safer going with CJ?K with a favorable matchup than Nelson with a new QB.
