Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pick-Ups – Week 9:
Marvin Jones – 24% Yahoo! Owned – Marvin Jones caught all 8 of his targets for 122 yards and 4 TD’s. Jones has really turned it on the past 3 weeks, combing for 6 TD’s. Jones takes on a week Miami Pass Defense next week and should be considered a WR3 as the hot handed Red Rocket (Andy Dalton) continues to go his way.
Andre Ellington – 53% Yahoo! Owned – Ellington got the start this week and he’s still only owned in 53% of Yahoo! Leagues. Legion Report has been pumping this guy all season, especially for PPR Leagues. As the injury-prone Mendenhall sat out week 8 – Andre Ellington took advantage rushing the ball 15 times for 154 yards and a TD, while catching both of his targets for 8 receiving yards. Ellington is usually targeted more in the passing game, which makes him even more valuable. If you didn’t grab him 3 weeks ago, it’s probably too late. Use your waiver priority on his this week.
Kenny Stills – 10% Yahoo! Owned – The past 2 weeks, Drew Brees’ favorite Deep Threat, Kenny Stills, has combined for 7 Targets, while catching 6 of them for 193 Yards and a 3 TD’s. Stills is only worthy in deep leagues, but if your desperate he has big time blowup potential. He’s a consistent Boom or Bust going forward.
Tim Wright – 5% Yahoo! Owned – With Mike Williams sidelined for the year with surgery to his hamstring, Tim Wright will now be a go to guy and a No. 2 option for Rookie QB Mike Glennon. Wright finished in week 8 with 5 receptions 48 yards and a TD. Consider him a TE2 and Bye Week replacement guy for now.
Tennessee Defense – 36% Yahoo! Owned – The Titans have been a solid unit all season. After the Week 8 Bye Week, it’s possible that several owners in your league dumped them on the wire and played the stream game defensively. We like Tennessee for several reasons – Week 9 vs. STL, Week 10 vs. JAX and they get JAX again in Week 16. They has “Add Em” written all over it. Pick Em’ Up!!!
Andre Brown – 20% Yahoo! owned – Brown is eligible to return Week 10 from injury, as he is currently on the short-term IR. We recommend the stash as a late season option. It’s doubtful that the Giants will rely on RBs like Peyton Hillis and Michael Cox to carry the load the remainder of the season. Grab Brown if you have the roster space.
